Privacy Policy
How Same Page collects, uses and protects personal information.
Last updated: 5 November 2026
1. Who we are
Same Page is operated by Penrose Analytics Pty Ltd (ABN 43 702 955 235), an Australian company ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit same-page.ghost.io, create an account or subscribe. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Accounts are for adults
Same Page accounts are held by parents, guardians or other adults (18 or over). Students may use the guides through their family's account, but we don't ask students to create accounts or give us their own details. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
3. What we collect
| Information | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Name and email address | To create and secure your account, let you sign in (Same Page uses emailed sign-in links rather than passwords) and contact you about your subscription |
| Subscription details: plan, start and renewal dates, payment status | To give you access to the guides you've paid for and manage renewals and cancellations |
| Payment details, entered on Stripe's secure checkout | To take payments. Stripe processes your card; we can see limited details such as card type, the last four digits, expiry date and billing country, but never the full card number |
| Basic usage information: pages viewed while signed in, and whether you opened or clicked our emails | To understand which guides are useful and improve them |
| Anything you send us, such as emails or feedback | To respond to you |
| Comments you post on guides or on our feedback page. These are visible to other signed-in members, along with the name on your account | To improve the guides and correct errors |
We don't collect sensitive information (such as health information), and we don't ask for your child's name, school or results.
Information kept on your own device. Some features, such as the "Checklist: can you…" ticks in each guide, save your progress in your browser's local storage. That information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Our platform, Ghost, also gives us cookie-free visit counts.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: for example, which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, the approximate location (country or city), and which website, search or advert brought a visitor here. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga) on your device so it can tell visits apart. We use it for analytics only: Google signals, advertising features and ad personalisation are turned off, and we don't send Google your name, email address or payment details. Google may process this information in the United States and other countries.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This won't affect your access to the guides. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
We don't use advertising cookies, social media trackers or third-party ad networks on this website.
5. Who we share information with
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Same Page, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Ghost (Ghost Foundation), which hosts our website and member accounts and sends our emails, including through its email delivery provider. Ghost(Pro) servers are located in the Netherlands.
- Stripe, which processes payments and manages billing. Stripe stores payment information in the United States and other countries.
- Google (Google LLC), which provides Google Analytics, the website usage measurement described in section 4.
Because these providers are overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the Netherlands, other European Union countries and the United States. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example to a government authority.
6. Emails
We send emails you need, such as sign-in links, receipts and important notices about your subscription. If you're subscribed to our newsletter, we may also send updates about new guides. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can change your email preferences from your account at any time.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your account information while you have an account. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, except records we must keep by law, such as financial and tax records, which are generally kept for up to seven years.
8. Security
We rely on the security measures of Ghost and Stripe, including encryption of data sent to and from the site. Only authorised people at Same Page can access member information. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: you can see and update your name and email in your account, or ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Deletion: you can ask us to close your account and delete your information.
- Anonymity: you can browse the public parts of the site without giving us any personal information, but we need your name and email to provide a subscription.
Email atlasknoxbuilds@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first and we'll try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when privacy laws change. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell members by email about any significant change.
