Terms of Use
The terms that apply to Same Page accounts and subscriptions.
Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. About these terms
Same Page (same-page.ghost.io) is operated by Penrose Analytics Pty Ltd (ABN 43 702 955 235) ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you use the site, create an account or subscribe. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account or subscribe. A parent or guardian may let the students in their household use the guides through their account, and is responsible for that use.
- You sign in using links emailed to you, so keep your email account secure and let us know if you think someone else has accessed your Same Page account.
- Please give us accurate details and keep your email address up to date.
3. Subscriptions and payment
- Plans: A$9.99 per month or A$89 per year, unless a different price is shown when you subscribe. Prices are in Australian dollars. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is included or charged.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and we charge the payment method you've given us at the start of each new period, until you cancel.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
- Price changes: if we change the price of your plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. If you don't want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, Stripe may retry it. If it still can't be collected, your access to paid guides may end until payment is made.
4. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel at any time from the Account page on the site, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- We don't give refunds for partly used periods or if you simply change your mind, except as set out in these terms or where the law requires.
- If you renew by mistake (for example, you meant to cancel before an annual renewal), contact us within 14 days of the renewal and we'll refund it in full if you haven't used the site since.
- If we close Same Page, or end your subscription without you breaching these terms, we'll refund the unused part of any period you've paid for.
5. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service has a major failure, you're entitled to cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You're also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure doesn't amount to a major failure, you're entitled to have problems with the service fixed in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
6. Using the guides
- All Same Page guides, diagrams, questions, passages and other content are owned by us or used under licence, and are protected by copyright.
- Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to view and use the guides for your household's own, non-commercial learning. You may print or save copies for that purpose.
- You must not share your account outside your household; copy, publish, sell or distribute the guides; post them on other websites or social media; or use them to train or prompt artificial-intelligence systems that will reproduce them.
- Teachers, tutors and schools: classroom, tutoring or other commercial use needs our written permission. Please contact us.
- Curriculum descriptions are used under licence from ACARA (CC BY 4.0). Same Page is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACARA, the VCAA or any school.
7. About the content and its accuracy
- Same Page guides are a study aid. They support, but don't replace, the teaching, materials and advice from your child's school. Schools choose different topics, texts and ways of assessing, so check your school's course outline and assessment instructions, and follow your school where they differ.
- We take care to keep the guides accurate. We check facts against reliable sources, recalculate worked answers, and fix errors when we find them, listing corrections publicly. Even so, the guides may contain errors, omissions or out-of-date information. We don't promise they are complete, error-free or matched to any particular school's course.
- We don't promise that using Same Page will lead to any particular mark, grade or result.
- If you spot an error, please tell us and we'll fix it.
- We may update, add or retire guides over time to keep them accurate and useful. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your subscription includes, you may cancel and we'll refund the unused part of your paid period.
8. Using the site fairly
You must not misuse the site, for example by trying to get around access controls, interfering with its operation, scraping content in bulk, or using it for anything unlawful. If you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, we may suspend or close your account after telling you why (unless the breach is serious enough to require immediate action). We'll treat you fairly and give you a chance to respond where reasonable.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the site available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems with our providers or the internet. We'll try to keep interruptions short.
10. Our liability
Apart from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and any other rights that can't be excluded by law, we are not responsible for loss that isn't a reasonably foreseeable result of our failing to comply with these terms. This doesn't limit our liability for loss caused by our negligence or fraud.
Subject to section 5, to the sentence above and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any mark, grade or assessment result, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. We'll post the new version here and email members at least 30 days before any change that is significantly less favourable to you takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then, and we'll refund the unused part of any period you've paid for.
12. Law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Nothing in this clause affects your rights under the consumer laws of the state or territory where you live.
